Text

As used in this subchapter:

(1)"Certified law enforcement officer" means any appointed or elected law enforcement officer or county sheriff employed by a law enforcement agency who:
(A)Is responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the enforcement of the criminal, traffic, or highway laws of this state; and (B) Has met the selection and training requirements for certification set by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training;
(2)"Cold War veteran" means any current or former member of the armed forces of the United States who establishes service during the Cold War era from September 2, 1945 through December 26, 1991, by presenting his or her military service discharge record, the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty of the Department
