(a)(1) Whenever any vehicle of a type subject to registration in this state has been stored, parked, or left in a garage, trailer park, or any type of storage or parking lot for a period of over thirty (30) days, the owner of the garage, trailer park, or lot shall, within five (5) days after the expiration of that period, report the make, model, or serial or vehicle identification number of the vehicle as unclaimed to the Automobile Theft Section of the Division of Arkansas State Police.
(2)The report shall be on a form prescribed and furnished by the division.
(b)Nothing in this section shall apply when arrangements have been made for continuous storage or parking by the owner of the motor vehicle so parked or stored or when the owner of the motor vehicle so parked or stored is persona
