Text
(a)The General Assembly finds that:
(1)Healthcare providers who serve Medicaid recipients are an indispensable and vital link in serving this state's needy citizens; and (2) The Department of Human Services already has in place various provisions to:
(A)Ensure the protection and respect for the rights of Medicaid recipients; and (B) Sanction errant Medicaid providers when necessary.
(b)The General Assembly intends this subchapter to ensure that the department and its outside contractors treat providers with fairness and due process.
