Text
(a)County judges may and are authorized and empowered to pay out of the general revenue fund of the county the necessary expenses incurred by the county sheriff of the county incident to the return of fugitives to the state.
(b)In order for a county sheriff or his or her deputy to avail himself or herself of the provisions of this section, it shall be necessary to secure a requisition from the Governor for the return of the fugitive and to file an itemized account of the necessary expenses incurred in the capture and return of the fugitive to the state, which account shall be properly sworn to and verified.
