Text

(a)It shall be the duty of the foreman of each grand jury in this state to keep an abstract showing the name of each person subpoenaed and appearing as a witness before the grand jury, the number of days attended, and the amount due the person as a witness. The abstract shall be verified by affidavit as provided in this section and may be in the following form: Click here to view form.
(b)(1) The foreman of the grand jury shall issue a certificate to each of the witnesses showing the number of days attended and the amount due the witness, in conformity to the abstract.
(2)The certificate shall be attested by the clerk of the grand jury.
(c)Upon the presentation of the certificate to the clerk of the county court, the county court, upon examination and approval of the certificate, shall
