Text

(a)The following oath, in substance, shall be administered to the grand jurors: "Saving yourselves and fellow jurors, you do swear that you will diligently inquire of, and present all treasons, felonies, misdemeanors, and breaches of the penal laws over which you have jurisdiction, of which you have knowledge or may receive information." (b) Petit jurors upon being impaneled pursuant to this act shall take the following oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will well and truly try each and all of the issues submitted to me as a juror and a true verdict render according to the law and the evidence."
