§ 16-21-1001 — Operating expenses

(a) The Prosecuting Attorney of the Fifth Judicial District shall be entitled to an operating expense of not less than seventeen thousand five hundred dollars ($17,500) to cover the cost of printing, supplies, equipment, janitorial services, cleaning supplies, food, service contracts, accounting, postage, photocopies, travel, training, utilities, rent, juror and witness fees, and such other expenses which within the discretion of the prosecuting attorney may be proper expenses of the office in connection with the investigation and prosecution of criminal activity within the district. Said expenses shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the Pope County general fund. (b) At the end of each quarter, one-third (1/3) of said sum shall be reimbursed to Pope County by Johnson County and Franklin County equally, being one-sixth (1/6) each. (c) In addition, the telephone bill shall be submitted to the county for payment, this payment to be in addition to the operating expenses set forth in subsection (a) of this section.
