Either party may take proof by deposition, to be read on the trial of the attachment, or, by permission of the court, the witnesses may be orally examined in court. Civil Code, § 281; C. & M. Dig., § 571; Pope's Dig., § 608; A.S.A. 1947, § 31-140.
