Text

(a)From the appropriation provided to the Auditor of State for trial judges' expenses, a circuit court judge or a district court judge is authorized to be reimbursed for travel expenses at the rate authorized for state employees and for mileage at the rate established in the state travel rules for state employees while traveling within the state in the performance of his or her official duties.
(b)When a circuit court judge or a district court judge is appointed by the Chief Justice to hear a case or cases in a jurisdiction outside of that in which he or she has been elected, he or she shall be entitled to reimbursement for travel expenses and mileage as provided in subsection (a) of this section.
