§ 14-14-811 — Salary of county judge and emergency management personnel

(a) The quorum court of each county is authorized to pay a portion of the salary and related matching benefits of the county judge from the county road fund and the county solid waste fund. (b) (1) The portion of the county judge's salary paid from the county road fund shall not exceed fifty percent (50%). (2) The portion paid from the county solid waste fund shall not exceed thirty-four percent (34%). (c) However, the portion to be paid from the county general fund shall be at least one-third (1/3) of the total salary and matching benefits. (d) (1) At the discretion of the county judge, a county may pay a portion of the salary and related matching benefits of personnel of the local emergency management jurisdiction from the county road fund. (2) The portion paid from the county road fund shall not exceed fifty percent (50%).
