For purposes of this chapter, the following terms have the following meanings:

(1)COMMERCIAL SERVICE AIRPORT. As defined in 49 U.S.C. § 47102.

(2)DEPARTMENT. The Alabama Department of Transportation.

(3)DIRECTOR. The Director of Transportation for the Alabama Department of Transportation.

(4)GENERAL AVIATION AIRPORT. As defined in 49 U.S.C. § 47102.

(5)IMPROVEMENT. The acquiring, engineering, construction, or maintenance of existing or proposed airports and other air navigation facilities within the state.

(6)PROGRAM. The Alabama Airport Economic and Infrastructure Program.
