(a)The Legislative Council may contract for the demolition of the building located at 11 South Union Street in Montgomery. The demolition shall occur upon the completion of construction and designation of a new Alabama State House.
(b)(1) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the building may be demolished in a manner that provides for the removal and disposition of any property or materials that are part of or affixed to the building which may have some value, regardless of whether any of the property or materials are listed as state inventory. To effectuate this section, the Legislative Council, Legislative Services Agency, Clerk of the House of Representatives, and Secretary of the Senate shall provide to the State Auditor a list of property and materials to be removed from the inve
