Text

(a)There is created a continuing permanent joint transportation committee of the Legislature to be known as the Joint Transportation Committee. The committee shall consist of 13 members of the Senate appointed by the President of the Senate and 13 members of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, one senator and one house member to be a resident of each present United States congressional district in the state, one senator and one house member to be a resident of each Alabama Department of Transportation region, and one senator and one house member who shall be from the minority party to serve at large.
(b)The members that reside in the Alabama Department of Transportation regions of the Joint Transportation Committee shall be appointed by
