(a)Any provisions of law to the contrary notwithstanding, the Historical Commission shall establish a rate or price for the production of each restored desk of the legislative chambers to be used in the renovated State Capitol building. The legislative chairs and/or desks used in the chambers shall be sold for a price to be established by the Historical Commission. The last member of the Legislature who sat in a chair in the chambers shall have first choice in purchasing that individual chair and/or desks. Present members of the Legislature shall be given an opportunity to purchase any remaining chairs and/or desks and then former members shall have a choice of any remaining chairs and/or desks after the present members have made their purchases.
