Text

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

(1)FATHER. The biological father of the human fetus.
(2)MOTHER. The female who is pregnant with a live human fetus which may be subject to a partial-birth abortion under this chapter.
(3)PARTIAL-BIRTH ABORTION. An abortion in which the person performing the abortion partially vaginally delivers a living fetus before killing the fetus and completing the delivery.
(4)PHYSICIAN. A doctor of medicine or osteopathy legally authorized to practice medicine and surgery by the state or any other individual legally authorized by the state to perform abortions. This definition shall also include any individual who is not a physician or is not otherwise legally authorized by the state to perform abortions, but who neve
