Text
The purposes of this chapter are as follows:
(1)To prohibit governmental entities from discriminating or taking an adverse action against a child placing agency on the basis that the agency declines to make a child placement that conflicts, or under circumstances that conflict, with the sincerely held religious beliefs of the agency, provided the agency is otherwise in compliance with Minimum Standards for Child Placing Agencies.
(2)To protect the exercise of religion of child placing agencies and to ensure that governmental entities will not be able to force those agencies, either directly or indirectly, to discontinue all or some of their child placing services because they decline to place a child for adoption or in a foster home that conflicts, or under circumstances that conflict, w
