THIS SECTION REPEALED BY ACT 2023-339, EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2023. Because the intent of the Legislature in this article is to educate physicians and to mitigate patient abuse and diversion of buprenorphine, nothing in this article shall modify, amend, repeal, or supersede any provision of Section 6-5-333, the Alabama Medical Liability Act of 1987, commencing with Section 6-5-540, the Alabama Medical Liability Act of 1996, commencing with Section 6-5-548, any amendment to any of the foregoing, or any judicial interpretation of any of the foregoing, nor shall anything in this article modify, amend, repeal, or supersede the law of or pertaining to the standard of care and admissibility of evidence regarding the standard of care.
