OPINION OF THE COURT

LEWIS, Judge:

Pursuant to his pleas, the appellant was convicted of possession of marijuana and sale of marijuana in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934. A general court-martial sentenced him to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for three years, and forfeiture of all pay and allowances. The convening authority approved so much of the sentence as provided for a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for nine months and forfeiture of all pay and allowances.

The appellant assigns four errors as requiring corrective action. The first assignment asserts that the military judge prejudicially erred by failing to properly advise him of the meaning and effect of his pretrial agreement. See United States v. Green, 1 M.J. 453 (C.M.A.1976), and United States v. King, 3 M.J. 458 (C.M.A.1977). The purported error in this case arose in a rather unusual context. Appellant originally entered his pleas, and they were accepted after a fully adequate inquiry by the military judge under United States v. Care, 18 U.S.C.M.A. 535, 40 C.M.R. 247 (1969), United States v. Green, supra, and United States v. King, supra. During the sentencing portion of the trial, the trial counsel attempted to impeach a witness favorable to the accused by asking the witness whether he was aware that the accused had received non-judicial punishment five years before for wrongful transfer of marijuana.
