April 30, 1880, tbe defendant leased to tbe plaintiff three rooms in tbe basement of tbe Williams block, in tbe city of Detroit, for tbe purpose of a saloon and restaurant, for the term of one year, and tbe plaintiff entered and occupied under such lease.
