(a)Notice to Director of National Intelligence and Secretary of Defense
The Secretary of State shall provide notice to the Director of National Intelligence and the Secretary of Defense of any covered closure of a diplomatic or consular post. To the maximum extent practicable, the notice shall be provided at least 30 days before the date on which the covered closure occurs.
(b)Notice to congressional committees
The Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the heads of the other appropriate elements of the intelligence community as determined by the Director, shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a notice describing the impact of the closure on the intelligence community.
