Text

(a)Establishment The Secretary of the Interior shall establish within the Department of the Interior the National Geospatial Advisory Committee to provide advice and recommendations to the Chairperson of the Committee.
(b)Membership The Advisory Committee shall be composed of not more than 30 members, at least one of which will be from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, who shall—
(A)be appointed by the Chairperson of the Committee;
(B)be selected—
(i)to generally achieve a balanced representation of the viewpoints of various interested parties involved in national geospatial activities and the development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure; and
(ii)with consideration of a geographic balance of residence of the members; and
(C)be selected from among groups involve

L. 92–463, Oct. 6, 1972, 86 Stat. 770, which was set out in the Appendix to Title 5, Government Organization and Employees, and was substantially repealed and restated in chapter 10 (§1001 et seq.) of Title 5 by Pub. L. 117–286, §§3(a), 7, Dec. 27, 2022, 136 Stat. 4197, 4361. Sections 10 and 14 of the Act were repealed and restated as sections 1009 and 1013, respectively, of Title 5.
