Restoration of laboratory directed research and development program

Title 42 — The Public Health and Welfare·Ch. 161 — DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY RESEARCH AND INNOVATION·Subch. I
(a)In general
Except as provided in subsection (b), the Secretary shall ensure that laboratory operating contractors do not allocate costs of general and administrative overhead to laboratory directed research and development.
(b)Exception for national security laboratories
This section shall not apply to the national security laboratories with respect to which section 3119 1 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 (Public Law 114–328) applies.
