Title 16Conservation·Ch. 6 — GAME AND BIRD PRESERVES; PROTECTION
(a)Establishment There is established an advisory committee to be known as the "Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve Advisory Committee".
(b)Duties The Advisory Committee shall advise the Secretary and the Director of the National Park Service concerning the development, management, and interpretation of the Preserve. In carrying out those duties, the Advisory Committee shall provide timely advice to the Secretary and the Director during the preparation of the general management plan under section 698u–3(g) of this title.
(c)Membership The Advisory Committee shall consist of 13 members, who shall be appointed by the Secretary as follows:
(1)Three members shall be representatives of the Trust.
(2)Three members shall be representatives of local landowners, cattle ranchers, or other agric

Termination of Advisory Committees
Advisory committees established after Jan. 5, 1973, to terminate not later than the expiration of the 2-year period beginning on the date of their establishment, unless, in the case of a committee established by the President or an officer of the Federal Government, such committee is renewed by appropriate action prior to the expiration of such 2-year period, or in the case of a committee established by the Congress, its duration is otherwise provided for by law.
