Text

The application for a charter filed with the commissioner shall be accompanied by a fee established by rule of the commissioner to cover the expense of the investigation by the commissioner, the expense of the public hearing or meeting and other related expenses. The fee shall be deposited by the commissioner with the state treasurer into the financial institutions administration account. If an application for a public trust company charter is withdrawn by the applicant at any time prior to the meeting or hearing on the application, the application filing fee, less the amount of any expense authorized in this section and actually incurred, shall be refunded to the applicant.
