§ 4-10-401 — Methods of creating trust
Wyoming·Title 04 Fiduciaries·Ch. 10 UNIFORM TRUST CODE·Art. 4 CREATION, VALIDITY, MODIFICATION AND TERMINATION OF
(a)A trust may be created by:
(i)Transfer of property to another person as trustee
during the settlor's lifetime or by will or other disposition
taking effect upon the settlor's death;
(ii)Declaration by the owner of property that the
owner holds identifiable property as trustee;
(iii)Exercise of a power of appointment in favor of
a trustee;
(iv)The court as provided in W.S. 3-3-607(a)(vi); or
(v)An agent under a power of attorney where the
express authority is designated with the appointment document
and where the trust directs distribution upon the settlor's
death consistent with an existing will or other testamentary
instrument or in absence thereof in accordance with the law of
intestate succession as provided in W.S. 2-4-101.
