Text

(a)No domestic, foreign or alien society licensed in this state shall issue or deliver in this state any certificate or other evidence of any contract of accident and sickness insurance unless and until the form thereof, together with the form of application and all riders or endorsements for use in connection therewith, shall have been filed with the commissioner and approved by him or her as conforming to reasonable rules from time to time in effect and as not inconsistent with any other provisions of law applicable thereto. The commissioner shall, within a reasonable time after the filing of any form, notify the society filing the form of the approval or disapproval of the form.
