Text
(a)A licensee may prescribe:
(1)Topical pharmaceutical agents;
(2)oral pharmaceutical agents that are included in the drug formulary established by the board pursuant to section six of this article or new drugs or new drug indications added by a decision of the board; and (3) contact lenses that contain and deliver pharmaceutical agents that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a drug.
(b)An applicant must:
(1)Submit a completed application;
(2)Pay the appropriate fee;
(3)Show proof of current liability insurance coverage;
(4)Complete the board required training;
(5)Pass an examination; and
(6)Complete any other criteria the board may establish by rule.
