The Legislature of the State of West Virginia hereby renews its assent to the provisions of the act of Congress approved July eleventh, nineteen hundred and sixteen, entitled "An act to provide that the United States shall aid the states in the construction of rural post roads and for other purposes." The state road commission is hereby authorized to enter into contracts and agreements with the United States government relating to the survey, construction and maintenance of roads under the provisions of said act of Congress, to submit such scheme or program of construction and maintenance as may be required by the secretary of agriculture, or other authorized representative of the federal government, and to do all other things necessary to carry out the cooperation contemplated and provide
