613.53 The articles may provide that any number of the directors shall be chosen from among the policyholders, the general public or both, under a plan designed to assure independent directors truly representing the interests of policyholders or the public interest. The persons to be named as directors under this section shall be persons whose experience and existing relationships qualify them to serve responsibly and impartially as independent policyholder or public directors.
