562.105 No person may kill or cause to be killed any dog which races in this state or was bred, whelped or trained in this state for racing, except by a humane chemical method, specified by the department by rule, which normally causes dogs to be rendered insensible to pain, is rapid and effective and is administered by a veterinarian.
