409.706 409.706(1) (1) Initial financing statement in lieu of continuation statement. The filing of an initial financing statement in the office specified in s. 409.501 continues the effectiveness of a financing statement filed before July 1, 2001, if: 409.706(1)(a) (a) The filing of an initial financing statement in that office would be effective to perfect a security interest under 2001 Wisconsin Act 10 ; 409.706(1)(b) (b) The preeffective-date financing statement was filed in an office in another state or another office in this state; and 409.706(1)(c) (c) The initial financing statement satisfies sub.
