343.234 Notwithstanding any other provision in this chapter, the department shall forward to the selective service system, in electronic format, any information on an application for a driver’s license, permit, or identification card submitted under this chapter by a male who is at least 18 years of age but less than 26 years of age that is requested by the selective service system for the purpose of registering the applicant with the selective service system. This section does not apply if the selective service system does not register applicants with the selective service system on the basis of information forwarded under this section.
