165.981 165.981(1) (1) In this section, “law enforcement agency” has the meaning given in s. 165.98 (1) . 165.981(2) (2) The department of justice shall award grants to law enforcement agencies for the acquisition of a data-sharing platform. 165.981(3) (3) A law enforcement agency that receives a grant under sub.

(2)shall use the grant funds to acquire a data-sharing platform to which all of the following apply: 165.981(3)(a) (a) The platform is able to integrate data from common law enforcement systems on a real-time basis. 165.981(3)(b) (b) The platform is able to identify and eliminate redundant records in law enforcement systems. 165.981(3)(c) (c) The platform is able to provide advanced, configurable search, analytics, and visualization capabilities that support common mission needs

165.981(2) (2) The department of justice shall award grants to law enforcement agencies for the acquisition of a data-sharing platform.
165.981(3) (3) A law enforcement agency that receives a grant under sub. (2) shall use the grant funds to acquire a data-sharing platform to which all of the following apply:
165.981(3)(a) (a) The platform is able to integrate data from common law enforcement systems on a real-time basis.
165.981(3)(b) (b) The platform is able to identify and eliminate redundant records in law enforcement systems.
165.981(3)(c) (c) The platform is able to provide advanced, configurable search, analytics, and visualization capabilities that support common mission needs for law enforcement.
165.981(3)(d) (d) The platform allows law enforcement agencies to appropriately restrict access to information by data type, organization, roles, responsibilities, individual investigations, and other parameters.
165.981(3)(e) (e) The platform allows for secure, permission-controlled data integration and sharing among participating law enforcement agencies.
165.981(3)(f) (f) The platform is able to be accessed on various devices commonly used by law enforcement agencies.
165.981(3)(g) (g) The platform has a demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding similar mission needs and the ability to reach full operational capability within 90 days of initiation.
165.981(3)(h) (h) The platform allows for integration with existing law enforcement agency identity and access management solutions, such as single-sign-on and multifactor authentication.
165.981(3)(i) (i) The platform is hosted in a secure environment that is compliant with Criminal Justice Information Services standards and that can scale to accommodate volume and velocity of law enforcement data needs.
165.981(3)(j) (j) The platform is able to provide granular audit logging for all user interactions with data.
165.981(3)(k) (k) The platform is able to provide an open, interoperable architecture and business terms that ensure the law enforcement agency retains all rights to agency data.
165.981(4) (4) No grants may be awarded under this section after June 30, 2027.
