165.981 165.981(1) (1) In this section, “law enforcement agency” has the meaning given in s. 165.98 (1) . 165.981(2) (2) The department of justice shall award grants to law enforcement agencies for the acquisition of a data-sharing platform. 165.981(3) (3) A law enforcement agency that receives a grant under sub.
(2)shall use the grant funds to acquire a data-sharing platform to which all of the following apply:
165.981(3)(a) (a) The platform is able to integrate data from common law enforcement systems on a real-time basis.
165.981(3)(b) (b) The platform is able to identify and eliminate redundant records in law enforcement systems.
165.981(3)(c) (c) The platform is able to provide advanced, configurable search, analytics, and visualization capabilities that support common mission needs
