A person must, upon request of the department, provide the department with paper or electronic copies of all reseller permits, or other documentation as authorized in RCW 82.04.470 , accepted by that person during the period specified by the department to substantiate wholesale sales. If, instead of the documentation specified in this subsection, the seller has retained the relevant data elements from such permits or other documentation authorized in RCW 82.04.470 , as allowed under the streamlined sales and use tax agreement, the seller must provide such data elements to the department.
