Text

The commission shall maintain federal certification for the state's pipeline safety program. The commission, at a minimum, shall do the following:

(1)Inspect hazardous liquid pipelines and gas pipelines periodically as specified in the inspection program;
(2)Collect fees;
(3)Order and oversee the testing of hazardous liquid pipelines and gas pipelines as authorized by federal law and regulation; and
(4)File reports with the United States secretary of transportation as required to maintain federal certification. Intent — Finding — Effective date — 2001 c 238: See notes following RCW 80.24.060 .
