Text
Public hospital districts may employ chaplains for their hospitals, health care facilities, and hospice programs.
Contingent effective date — 1993 c 234: "This act shall take effect on January 1, 1994, if the proposed amendment to Article I, section 11 of the state Constitution authorizing the legislature to permit public hospital districts to employ chaplains is validly submitted to and is approved and ratified by the voters at the next general election held. If the proposed amendment is not so approved and ratified, this act is void in its entirety." [ 1993 c 234 s 2 .] House Joint Resolution No. 4200 was approved by the voters on November 2, 1993.
