Every person who shall give, offer, receive, or promise, directly or indirectly, any compensation, gratuity, or reward, or make any promise thereof, or who shall fraudulently commit any act by trick, device, or bunco, or any means whatsoever with intent to influence or change the outcome of any sporting contest between people or between animals, is guilty of a class B felony and shall be punished by imprisonment in a state correctional facility for not less than five years.
