Text
(1)The purpose of this chapter is to provide a framework within which guaranteed asset protection waivers are defined and may be offered within this state.
(2)This chapter does not apply to:
(a)An insurance policy offered by an insurer under this title; or
(b)A federally regulated financial institution operating under 12 C.F.R. Part 37 of the office of the comptroller of the currency regulations or credit unions operating under 12 C.F.R. 721.3(g) of the national credit union administration regulations, or state regulated banks, credit unions, financial institutions operating pursuant to chapter 63.14 RCW, and consumer loan companies operating pursuant to chapter 31.04 RCW.
