Text

(1)Before accepting an application for a certificate of title for a vehicle previously registered in any other state or country, the department, county auditor or other agent, or subagent appointed by the director shall require the applicant to pay a fee of $50.
(a)$15 of the fee required by this section must be distributed under RCW 46.68.020 .
(b)$35 of the fee required by this section must be deposited in the move ahead WA account created in RCW 46.68.510 .
(2)Beginning July 1, 2026, before accepting an application for a certificate of title for a vehicle previously registered in any other state or country, the department, county auditor or other agent, or subagent appointed by the director shall require the applicant to pay, in addition to the fee specified in subsection (1) of
