§ 1. The Governor is hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, a compact with the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland, which compact shall be in form substantially as follows: (1958, c. 627) § 2. (1958, c. 627; repealed 1988, c. 890) § 2.1. Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Regulation Compact.--Whereas, the Commonwealth of Virginia (Chapter 627, 1958 Acts of Assembly), the State of Maryland (Chapter 613, Acts of General Assembly, 1959), and the Commissioners of the District of Columbia (resolution of the Board of Commissioners, December 22, 1960) entered into and executed the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Regulation Compact on December 22, 1960; and Whereas, the Congress of the United States has, by joint resolution approv
