Text

The Commonwealth's representatives to the Southern States Energy Board shall be appointed in compliance with Article II of the Southern States Energy Compact as follows: three members of the House of Delegates, of whom two shall serve as alternates, to be appointed by the Speaker of the House of Delegates; three members of the Senate, of whom two shall serve as alternates, to be appointed by the Senate Committee on Rules; and one nonlegislative citizen member to be appointed by the Governor. Alternate legislative members appointed by the Speaker of the House and the Senate Committee on Rules shall meet the same qualifications as the principal legislative members appointed to serve. Legislative members shall serve terms coincident with their terms of office and shall not have the authority
