Text
The Office of the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia shall collect data related to petitions filed pursuant to §§ 19.2-392.12 and 19.2-392.12:1 and report such data annually to the Virginia State Crime Commission by October 1 of each year, beginning October 1, 2027. Such data shall include the number of sealing petitions filed; whether such petitions were filed pursuant to § 19.2-392.12 or 19.2-392.12:1; the number of petitions in which a hearing was held; the number of charges ordered sealed or denied to be sealed; the number of petitioners represented by counsel; the date of birth, sex, and race of petitioners; and, to the extent available, data relating to the specifically identified charges, convictions, and ancillary matters for which sealing was granted or denied.
