(1)As used in this section:
(1)(a) "Compromise" means referral of an individual charged with a traffic violation to traffic school or other school, class, or remedial or rehabilitative program.
(1)(b) "Deferral period" means the 12-month period following the date on which an individual submits an application for deferred prosecution.
(1)(c) "Deferred prosecution" means the deferral of prosecution of an individual charged with a traffic infraction if the individual complies with the requirements described in Subsection (5).
(1)(d) "Felony traffic violation" means a violation of Title 41, Chapter 6a, Traffic Code, amounting to a felony.
(1)(e) "Moving traffic infraction" means a traffic infraction that occurs when a vehicle is in motion on a highway.
