§ 73-10g-702 — Utah water agent.

(1)(1)(a) The governor shall appoint, with the advice and consent of the Senate, a resident of this state to be the Utah water agent.
(1)(b) The governor shall consult with the speaker of the House of Representatives and the president of the Senate before appointing the water agent.
(1)(c) The water agent is a state employee.
(1)(d) The governor may appoint an individual who is serving in an executive branch appointed position to be the water agent, and the individual may serve in both positions, except that the governor shall adjust the salary of the water agent to account for salary received for the executive branch appointed position.
(2)The water agent shall serve a term of six years and may be appointed to more than one term, but is subject to removal at the pleasure of the governor
