Text

(1)As used in this section:
(1)(a) "Affected share" means the share represented by a share certificate that is lost, destroyed, or wrongfully taken.
(1)(b) "Company" means a land company or a water company.
(1)(c) "Distribution area" means:
(1)(c)(i) for a water company, the geographic area where the water company distributes water; or
(1)(c)(ii) for a land company, the geographic area owned by the land company.
(1)(d) "Original share certificate" means a share certificate that is alleged to be lost, destroyed, or wrongfully taken.
(1)(e) "Person" means:
(1)(e)(i) an individual;
(1)(e)(ii) a corporation;
(1)(e)(iii) a business entity;
(1)(e)(iv) a political subdivision of the state, including a municipality;
(1)(e)(v) an agency of the state; or
(1)(e)(vi) an agency of the federal governm
