(1)As used in this section:
(1)(a) "72-hour hold" means a directive from the department:
(1)(a)(i) prohibiting the release of a parolee or probationer from correctional custody who has entered correctional custody due to a violation of a condition of parole or probation; and
(1)(a)(ii) lasting for a maximum of 72 hours, excluding weekends or holidays, from the time the parolee or probationer entered correctional custody.
(1)(b) "Correctional custody" means when a parolee or probationer is physically detained in a county jail or a correctional facility operated by the department.
(1)(c) "Parolee" means an individual on parole under the supervision of the division.
(1)(d) "Probationer" means an individual on probation under the supervision of the division.
