Text

(1)A major sporting event venue zone proposal may be approved, with or without modifications, by a majority vote of the committee.
(2)(2)(a) The effective date of a major sporting event venue zone is January 1 following the approval of a proposal by the committee, as described in Subsection (1).
(2)(b) The collection of property tax increment or local sales and use tax increment may not be triggered before the effective date.
(3)(3)(a) The base taxable value of land within an approved major sporting event venue zone is determined as of January 1 of the year in which the committee approves a major sporting event venue zone proposal.
(3)(b) In approving the major sporting event venue zone, the committee shall establish:
