Text
(1)There is created a restricted account within the General Fund known as the "Unified Statewide 911 Emergency Service Account," consisting of:
(1)(a) proceeds from the fee imposed in Section 69-2-403;
(1)(b) money appropriated or otherwise made available by the Legislature; and
(1)(c) contributions of money, property, or equipment from federal agencies, political subdivisions of the state, persons, or corporations.
(2)(2)(a) Except as provided in Subsection (4) and subject to Subsection (3) and appropriations by the Legislature, the authority shall disburse funds in the 911 account for the purpose of enhancing and maintaining the statewide public safety communications network and 911 call processing equipment in order to rapidly, efficiently, effectively, and with greater interoperab
