Text

(1)A vendor that operates a software service described in Subsection (2) shall:
(1)(a) establish an automated connection to the commission's public safety portal; and
(1)(b) ensure that the connection described in Subsection (1)(a) is operational within one year of the criminal justice agency's system that uses the software service becoming active.
(2)A software service is subject to Subsection (1) if the software service:
(2)(a) is for use by a criminal justice agency within the state's criminal justice system; and
(2)(b) collects and stores data required by statute to be reported to the commission.
