§ 63A-16-1003 — Public safety portal grant program.

(1)(1)(a) There is created within the commission the public safety portal grant program.
(1)(b) The purpose of the program is to award grants to assist entities in complying with the data reporting requirements described in Subsection 63A-16-1002(4).
(1)(c) The program is funded with existing appropriations previously designated for the purpose of facilitating data collection and any ongoing appropriations made by the Legislature for the program.
(2)An entity that submits a proposal for a grant to the commission shall include details in the proposal regarding:
(2)(a) how the entity plans to use the grant to fulfill the purpose described in Subsection (1)(b);
(2)(b) any plan to use funding sources in addition to the grant for proposal;
